In my studies I learned that there are different ascending pathways in the spinal cord. Some report the joint position, others vibrations and other pain impulses up to the brain. There, all the information is processed as if in a control centre. Apparently, those fibres that transmit vibrations can superimpose pain impulses. In my search for a device, I came across the Theragun.
It delivers these variably available vibrations.
What happens?
The blood circulation improves. Lactate is broken down more quickly and hardenings are loosened more easily. At a frequency of between 60 and 65 hertz, we even have a beneficial effect on chronic pain. By improving blood circulation, pain can thus be reduced and regeneration accelerated. This is very important, especially in sports.
