What does a massage do?
For 2000 years, massages around the world have been among the oldest treatments. Originally, peoples in Africa and Asia used their beneficial effects, such as:
- Relaxation of the musculature
- local circulation increase
- improved cell metabolism
- Physical and mental relaxation and stress reduction
- the Strengthening the immune system
What is good for the body also helps the soul?
From a holistic point of view, body, mind and soul are inextricably linked and influence each other. In the Latin phrase "Mens sana in corpore sano" - "a healthy mind in a healthy body" - that is very nicely expressed.
Latest scientific findings confirm the positive effect of a massage on mental and emotional level. With pleasant touches, e.g. the hormone oxytocin is released. It is also called the cuddle hormone or binding hormone.
A holistic massage can have a very balancing effect on:
- mild depressive mood
- high stress at work and tension-related complaints
- professional and private crises
- high physical and mental stress
- inner restlessness and lack of concentration
- in convalescence, after surgery or illness
- many stress related symptoms
- in menopause or premenopausal (menopause)
Wellbeing massages in winter, why?
Traditionally, winter is the time of rest and relaxation. This becomes particularly clear to nature-loving people. The snow covers the trees, they look like they are sleeping and strengthening themselves for the coming spring. City and office people lose this natural rhythm and power through the year with equal intensity. Especially there it is particularly important to consciously create time-outs to strengthen its regenerative powers.
Which oils are suitable for a massage?
This is taste dependent !!! The one loves the scent of wild roses, the other prefers a hay flower pearly fragrance experience, the other loves fruity nuances. As a general rule, it is allowed, what pleases and what the customer wishes. The base oil should not stick too much and move in slowly. I myself use the oils of dr. Vitalis. Sesame oil, wine seed oil, apricot kernel oil, mustard seed oil mixed with soothing essences, I think they are very pleasant and effective. We select the right combination together with you. Of course, we also have fragrance-neutral oils to choose from or, if desired, "just" use our hands without any oil.
Tip: Do not overdo yourself on this day, but enjoy the soothing relaxation after a while. Avoid an instant full-power entry into the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
