Therapeutic exercises / Restoration of physical functions
Targeted exercises, both active and passive, and used together with other procedures to improve body posture, strengthen the muscles and increase body awareness in the patient. In orthopedics, for example, therapeutic exercises help resolve and prevent damage to the physical apparatus for posture and movement. In internal medicine, they support the functional integrity of the circulatory system, through circulatory and pulmonary-function training for example.
Areas of application for therapeutic exercises include:
- Prenatal exercises
- Exercises that address osteoporosis
- Rehabilitative exercises (after accidents and operations)
- Orthopedics
- Pulmonology
Therapeutic exercises not only help accelerate the healing process of affected body regions, but help them proceed in a more conscious and intense way.
