Nutritional analysis and counseling

“You must offer something good to the body so that the soul wants to live in it.”

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill put it in a nutshell: we need the right food in order to feel well overall. We’ve forgotten how to eat well out of the hectic nature of our lives, and simply through convenience. Many of our bodies lack vital nutrients, which can lead to a variety of symptoms, including:

  • fatigue
  • difficulty concentrating
  • listlessness
  • internal unrest
  • sleeping problems
  • food cravings
  • constipation
  • bloating
  • heartburn
  • overweight

Over the longer term, this can lead to serious illnesses such as Type 2 diabetes mellitus, gout and cardiovascular disease. In order prevent this, both our bodies and minds need the right fuel.
Prevention is important to us, so we’d be happy to advise you! We address with your eating habits and give you specific recommendations for improvement. Together, we then create an action plan that is custom tailored to your individual needs.

Nutrition in Everyday Life

When it comes to today's fast-paced world, eating is often of secondary importance to us. Between work, family and different leisure activities, there’s often not enough time to prepare something delicious and healthy. Between one appointment and the next, even entire meals are omitted or are devoured on the fly. These irregularities knock our internal clocks out of step. This leads to sleep problems and our digestion can be affected. The lack of important vitamins and trace elements that can result, which makes itself felt in a very short time, is also a serious problem.

We at Physiohorn will show you practical ways to maintain a healthy diet even in stressful everyday life and thus increase your performance. We’d also be happy to give you recipe tips.

Nutrition for Athletes

To allow for maximum performance, athletes should follow a needs-based diet. It depends on the right ratio of nutrients and the time of ingestion. Basically, there is an increased demand for certain vitamins and trace elements due to stress and excretion of sweat. Nutritional and drinking errors have a direct impact on performance. Even with a fluid loss of only 2%, there is a reduced capacity for endurance. To prevent this, the body needs an optimally composed sports drink. Only then can the organism absorb fluids optimally. The same applies to solid food. For example, a meal taken at the wrong time can lead to bonk or stomach cramps.
We can help with your food choices and can give you helpful tips for optimizing your performance.

Healthy Weight Loss

Being overweight affects health in numerous ways. It can complicate everyday life and promote cardiovascular diseases, gout and Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The psyche plays a very important role. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin and the extra weight affects self-confidence.
Radical diets that cause rapid weight loss succeed only in the short term. In the long run, they bring nothing but frustration because the weight comes back quickly. At the same time, it can lead dietary deficiencies because the body is deprived of important building blocks. To really lose weight in a healthy way, diet needs to be changed slowly. This is best accompanied by physical activity. A mix of strength and endurance training, accompanied by exercise in everyday life, supports weight loss in an optimal way.
We help you along the way with expert advice, responding to your individual likes, dislikes and habits. Only in this way can we jointly develop a concept that you can make happen. We achieve our common goal through this holistic approach.
