Transport of materials takes place in the connective tissue. Oxygen and nutrients are released from the arterioles, and CO2 is absorbed by the venules.
The ends of the lymphatic vessels absorb some toxins. This space in which these processes take place is called Pischinger space, or a section of the term matrix.
If the connective tissue is heavily loaded, chronic dysfunctions can occur and the person becomes irritable and generally more sensitive – hypersensitive.
Matrix Dynamization: when treating the various structures of an organism, the surrounding cell milieu, i.e. the matrix, should always be treated as well. This is what is meant by the term matrix dynamization (Kia 2013, Integrative Osteopathy in Back Pain).
This also makes it understandable why we feel particularly bad the day after extensive celebrations during which we indulged in far too much of everything. Our matrix is messed up.
In order to better treat chronic ailments that occur here, in our practice, we value baseline change in pathogenic behaviors and lead you on a path of sustainable recovery and health.
